Have you ever thought: “I want to run my own business someday”? Perhaps you have a great idea that you just know could make money, but you are not sure how to get started. Maybe you plan on joining a family business, or want to work for an existing business? Then GCSE Business would be a great option.

 

This course will give you a fantastic introduction to the world of business. It includes:

 

· Being an entrepreneur and planning a business

· Business ownership, and other Business stakeholders

· Market research and segmentation

· Marketing and promoting a business

· Recruiting, training and motivating people

· Production processes (how to get your product made)

· Working with suppliers

· Sales and customer service

· Laws affecting businesses

· Sources of finance (where to get money from to help your business) 

· Working out revenue, costs, profit and loss

· Break even analysis (calculating when your business will start to make money)

· Business Ethics

· Globalisation

· Environmental Concerns

 

This GCSE is assessed by two 1hr 30 exams.  A reasonable level of Maths (performing     calculations, percentages, working with graphs and data etc.) and English is recommended.
